How to start a game

  1. Press “Play Presi now”. Barajamos opens with Presi already chosen.
  2. Choose how to play. “Play with friends” opens a room with a six-character code and a link to share. “Find a game” seats you at a public table. “Play against bots” deals straight away.
  3. Send the link to your group. Whoever opens it joins your table without installing anything. The room starts with three chairs and adds one each time someone joins, up to six. If people are missing, the host can seat bots.
  4. When everyone is ready, deal. The host starts the game and the whole deck is dealt.

What Presi on Barajamos offers

Three to six, through a link
Create the room, share the link or the code and play, each from home. The table grows as people join. Nobody has to sign up or download anything.
Public table
“Find a game” puts you together with other people who want to play, and the cards are dealt as soon as the table is full.
Against bots, at your own pace
You play against two bots, with three levels: Tavern Apprentice, Felt Fox and Salon Legend. The game is saved in your browser and carries on where you left it when you reload.
Exchange at the same time
From the second hand on, everyone involved chooses the cards they hand over and confirms. The table checks they are the right ones and swaps them once everyone has confirmed.
The table guides you
On each turn it tells you how many cards to play and what value you must match or beat, and it keeps the game standings.
Chips, ranking and five languages
Every game earns chips. With a Google account, your progress is saved on all your devices. The table speaks Spanish, Valencian, Portuguese, English and French.

The rules in a minute

Three to six players, each for themselves, with the whole deck dealt out. The essentials:

  • It is played with the 48-card Spanish deck. From low to high: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, jack, knight, king, ace and 2. Suits do not count.
  • Whoever leads the trick plays a single card, a pair, three or four of the same number. The others answer with the same number of cards, of equal or higher value, or pass.
  • Skipping: if you match the value of the previous play, the next player loses their turn.
  • The two of coins: played on its own, it wins the trick whatever has been played.
  • The first to run out of cards is President and the last, Culo. In the next hand, the Culo gives their two best cards to the President and receives the President’s two worst.
  • The President scores 2 points and the Vice-president, 1. The first to 11 wins.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?
Yes. You play free in your browser, and chips are earned by playing.
Do I need to sign up?
No. You can play without an account. If you sign in with Google, your progress is saved on all your devices.
Can I play on my own?
Yes, against two bots of three levels, without waiting for anyone.
How many players do you need?
Three to six. The room starts with three chairs and adds one each time someone joins. If there are fewer than three of you, the host can fill the table with bots.
Is it the same as President?
Yes. It is the same game under another name, and every table has its own customs. The rules guide shows the Barajamos ones and what changes at other tables.
What is special about the two of coins?
Played on its own, it wins the trick at once, whatever has been played. In the exchange it counts as the best card: if the Culo has it, it goes to the President.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. You play in your phone’s browser, upright or sideways, and also on tablets and computers.
